Available positions include:

Online Marketing Manager

The position will play an important role in driving customer acquisition programs for Motionbox. The manager will maintain ownership over management, optimization and growth of search engine and affiliate marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day search activities including planning, purchasing, analyzing, optimizing and reporting on multiple pay-per-click search engines
  • Monitoring bids and positioning of keywords and ad texts to optimize budget and campaign goals
  • Develop extensive keyword lists and ad groups and their placement while tracking their performance across multiple search engines Manage affiliate program to recruit new affiliates and increase performance from existing affiliates through new or revised programs (including negotiation of affiliate partnerships, launch support, conversion tracking etc.)
  • Closely monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the various marketing programs
  • Assist in managing other ongoing acquisition programs to improve conversion rate.
  • Deliver quantifiable results measured by ROI goals
  • Timely reporting of accurate campaign reports, including the accompanying data analysis
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Understanding and knowledge of search engine features and functionality with at least 2 years experience in the SEM industry
  • Knowledge of search marketing especially Google AdWords and Overture with insight to what variables drive success
  • 4+ years and a proven track record in internet marketing including SEM, affiliate marketing and online advertising
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Enjoy dynamic, ever changing, entrepreneurial and exciting environment
  • Bachelor's degree

Interactive Designer

We are looking for an Interactive Designer with a passion for design and a positive attitude. Someone eager to share the latest news, trends and techniques and always prepared to dive into new challenging projects. You will work on a range of projects from "Big Picture" concepting to cutting and optimizing graphics. You will design websites, banners, emails, and other marketing materials.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3-5 years experience in interactive design
  • Photoshop and Illustrator are your go-to design tools
  • You can create Flash and HTML interface layouts without breaking a sweat
  • Your design and typographic skills, sense of color and visual hierarchy for the web are impressively captured in a killer ONLINE portfolio.
  • Are professional, dependable, solid work ethic, you're detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Are a problem solver, take direction well, but are able to make decisions and take initiative
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Pluses: Branding experience, internet marketing experience, knowledge of SEO

Flex Developer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced UI developer with a passion for the Adobe Flex web platform. Part of our mission at Motionbox is to put rich video editing and mixing capabilities into the hands of the average consumer making it easy for anyone with a digital camera to save and share their video memories, and get to the good stuff. We are now expanding our investment in Flex development to enrich our video editing features and make it drop-dead simple to upload videos from a PC, Mac, or mobile device.

Responsibilities:

Develop rich internet applications using Adobe Flex, well-integrated with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and server-side XML REST APIs.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience doing software development on high traffic, rich internet applications
  • Detailed knowledge of Adobe Flex development framework (or similar frameworks like Java Swing/SWT)
  • Deep familiarity with ActionScript3/ECMAScript
  • Experience with Flash video (including FMS) a plus

Senior Ruby-on-Rails Developer

If you love designing APIs and building well-architected technology platforms, we'd love to hear from you! We've got an opening for a senior, architect-level web developer with strong knowledge of Ruby-on-Rails. Our technology team is now looking ahead to its future with a huge focus on technology platform and web APIs. You'll be joining a talented team of engineers well-practiced in Rails development, with huge opportunity to impact our app & DB infrastructure and external API set.

Responsibilities:

Lead development of web application platform and web APIs, both to strengthen our technical foundation and to enable deeper technical integration with 3rd party developers and business partners.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • 2+ years experience leading technical design & architecture for web platforms
  • 5+ years of experience doing software development on high traffic, rich internet applications
  • Detailed knowledge of Ruby on Rails technology stack and related technologies (MySQL or similar databases)
  • Disciplined approach to software development, with mindset of test-driven coding and "agile", iterative forms of project management
  • Strong teamwork skills, practical business sense and a passion for getting things done

Position is located in NYC office. At this time we are only considering local candidates.

Product Intern

Responsibilities:
  • Content Review - Review user-generated video content to enforce community rules
  • Conduct competitive research and report on trends and news in personal media (photo, video) sharing
  • Provide support to and customer service to Motionbox users
Qualifications/Experience:
  • High school diploma and be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Extremely web savvy spend lots of time on social networking sites, have a blog, share photos and/or video online, etc
  • Have a real passion for new media and technologies.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills. Play nice with others. Be patient, flexible, curious, and willing to learn
  • Know your way around Macs and PCs as well as web related programs and technologies.
  • Basic HTML skills are a plus, but not required. Experience in video is also a plus
